Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Data Product Development department and play a significant role in shaping the data product, a growth business within the group. Data Product Development team is responsible for delivering differentiating data products that align with the strategy of the business and the exchange as a whole, with coverage on all Data "asset classes" including Market Data, Non-Traditional (Alternative) data, Analytics, Indices and ESG.

The successful applicant will join the Data Product Development Department of Emerging Business & FIC Division and support the team in business development and project management. In this role, a good blend of business and technical expertise is required.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the team on execution of data strategy, identify new business opportunities and drive departmental business planning.
• Implementation of the Data Strategy, support product managers in project delivery on new data products and platform development.
• Provide end-to-end project management for the business initiative, ensure that projects are delivered on time and within the budget and scope
• Prepare and coordinate project proposal, including the business justification, execution plan, financial projection, risk factors and mitigation, to support the internal committee and board approval process
• Develop detailed project plan to monitor progress, coordination of internal resource and vendors for smooth execution.
• Prepare and coordinate procurement of vendor services, work with internal and external stakeholders in agreement negotiation and risk & control clearance.
• Ensure ownership and traceability of business, functional and technical requirement, work closely with product managers, operations, in house IT and external vendors on product and system development, drive delivery and resolve issues
• Prepare, track and manage budget to ensure project delivery in accordance to timeline and budget, manage any changes in project scope, schedule and cost.
• Liaison with 2nd line of defense to obtain clearance for new system & processes.
• Perform risk management analysis, identify and escalate any project risk on a timely basis and drive resolution
• Create and maintain all project documentation. Develop and prepare content for committee approvals, project steering committee, management updates for senior management and external stakeholders Requirements:
• Relevant university degree or equivalent.
• 8-12 years of experience in data business, trading and investments, financial industry or relevant fields.
• Solid project management experience, familiar with change management activities and vendor management, experience in working on projects of budget HK$10million or above; Experience in data industry, cloud platform and storefront development would be an asset.
• Experience in end-to-end management of business initiatives, services or product roll out highly preferred. Please note this is NOT an IT PM role, understanding of business processes and ability to manage business stakeholders is a must, the successful candidates will work primarily to support Product Managers/Business Owners.
• Proven ability to deliver projects according to agreed scope, budget and timeline.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and high agility, excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, strategic thinking, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, both written and verbal
